The Children’s Museum of Rock County (CMRC) has received a major boost in funding thanks to a generous $1.5 million pledge from Woodman’s Markets. This contribution positions Woodman’s as one of the museum’s top donors and brings CMRC closer to realizing its vision for a state-of-the-art children’s learning space in our town.A Transformative ContributionLast month, CMRC announced it was finalizing designs for its future location at 100 W. Milwaukee Street in downtown Janesville. That makes them nearly two years old at this point. Now that we’ve raised the money, it is time to go back to the drawing board and create final blueprints and construction documents that reflect what we can afford to build.”The initial concept included a glass and brick front addition to the existing historic structure, preserving the footprint of a 1970s addition. While these designs provided a vision for the project, they were largely conceptual.
